 Michael Shabkie is an accomplished healthcare executive with an impressive track record spanning over 25 years in the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) industry. 

He currently serves as the President of the Medical Transportation Management Group (METMAG) and is the visionary Founder behind NEMTAC, a nonprofit organization that holds the distinction of being the ANSI Accredited Standard Developer for the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation sector.

Driven by a deep commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility, Michael has spearheaded the development of the industry's first set of national standards, providing a crucial framework for NEMT providers and regulators alike. 

His notable accomplishments also include the creation of nationally accredited certification programs, including the Certified Transport Specialist (CTS) training program, which was licensed to NEMTAC in 2019.
